Hi! My name is Rachel Do and I recently graduated from Boston University with a degree in Film & Television and in Journalism.

 

In one way or another, writing has been an important part of my life ever since I was a little kid. I wrote short stories on my notebook as a hobby. Before 2019, I've always wanted to become a journalist to follow in my dad's footsteps and explore the intriguing side of feature journalism.

However, growing up with Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) gradually sparked my interest in filmmaking and my yearning for more creativity led me to this path. Digital Video Production class in my freshman year of high school allowed me to have a taste of filmmaking and that experience has stayed inside me ever since.

I'm mostly interested in screenwriting because it combines creativity and professional writing.

I still kept in touch with journalism as a feature associate editor of BU Daily Free Press, continuing another passion of mine from high school.

I plan on pursing both passions of mine, although filmmaking is now my priority.
